Born February 2, 1952, in Denver Colorado. Duane "Dog" Chapman made his way to the top in 2003 by capturing Andrew Luster, heir to the Max Factor fortune. In 2000, Luster was arrested and was released on a one million dollar bond. He failed to appear in court and was subsequently captured by Dog The Bounty Hunter.
Duane "Dog" Chapman is the eldest of 4 children born to Wesley and Barbara Chapman. He is father to 12 children and 14 grandchildren. When asked how many grandchildren he has, he often jokes that he'll start counting them when they stop coming.
He has been with his beautiful wife, Beth Chapman for more than 2 decades. They reside both in Hawaii and in the State of Colorado.

2002-2003 Dog, Beth, and the posse filmed the pilot episode of Dog The Bounty Hunter for A&E. Shortly after filming Dog tracked down and captured Andrew Luster. This propelled his new series into the stratosphere.
2003-2012: He was the co-star of Dog The Bounty Hunter on A & E Television Network. This show chronicled family, events, and clients in their Honolulu, HI based bail bond business, Da Kine Bail Bonds. In addition to Honolulu, the show was also filmed on all of the Hawaiian islands as well as Colorado.
2012-2015: Brought a new era and a new show. After the departure of some of his adult children, CMT snatched up this talented duo as well as their son Leland. Calls for help came in from all over the county. After years of asking for Dog and Beth's assistance, they went on the road in an effort to help struggling bail bond companies nationwide. The show Dog and Beth On The Hunt aired for 3 seasons.
2016-2018: In support of his wife's ambitions, the family choose to break from television and support her bid for President of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States. After participating for many years both as a member and as a significant donor of the PBUS he was honored that his wife won the election.
