  • I have Celiac Disease

    I have Celiac Disease, though the diagnoses isn't as cut-and-dry as I would have liked. I didn't show classic signs of the disease in any of my test. My blood test didn't have the antibodies seen in classic Celiac Disease, though not everyone with Celiac Disease has those antibodies. I don't have the malabsorption seen in classic Celiac Disease, though not everyone with Celiac Disease has malabsorption. My Intestinal biopsy was negative, though my gastroenterologist said that could be because the disease hasn't advanced to the point of visible damage. What the test did show is that I have inflammation in my Small Intestine and I have a bad Vitamin D deficiency. Couple that with the fact that I have all the symptoms of Celiac Disease, that I have Peripheral neuropathy with no known cause and I have Dermatitis Herpetiformis (a skin rash that is basically Celiac Disease of the skin), my doctor feels that I do have the disease. He has told me to go on a gluten-free diet and I am to take Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Zinc and Calcium daily.

  • I'm Back

    I'm officially back. Not that I ever went anywhere! I tried to take a break - really, I did! - but I kept finding myself peeking in. Then, of course, I just had to reply to people who left me a comment! So, I'm not going to fight it anymore. I love this site, so my "break" is over;-)

    I almost died last night! I was just grateful that they didn't get me when I was jumping up and down and screaming when Dog came out. I felt like I was 16 at a Bon Jovi concert! Didn't think anyone would recognize me though. I'm sure loving these new episodes. Hope you have a great weekend!!

    Aww Jen, you're so sweet! Thank you so much! You're too kind! I couldn't believe my eyes! Especially when my power went out just before the Mooseheart segment! Luckily Stacy called to ask if I'd seen the show and reminded me about the 2nd airing! I dreaded the thought of the cameras catching me. I'm not very photogenic and my own worst critic. Thank goodness I wasn't doing something stupid like picking my nose or some other embarrassing activity, LOL!!!!

    I loved the show... hahahaha... DuaneLee cracked me up with his driving!..lol.. I wish everyday was wednesday!! ... =(....=p... Im really glad i came to this sight! Its fun!!! I love everything about it!!! Expecially DuaneLee's page! lol

    Yes I made those pictures myself even the banner at the top of my page. I love playing around with my program. I'm going to make a new calendar with the new seasons pictures. I love doing that...
