The Chapmans took their family to Disney World for vacation recently, with a working stop in L.A. for photo shoots. Duane and Beth continued on to Las Vegas to catch friend Carrot Top's show and even dined with Mike Tyson, but a huge thrill for them was being asked backstage by Elton John at his show.
Fox News wrote (6-20-08), "Who knew that Elton John was a fan of our favorite bounty hunter, Duane 'Dog' Chapman?
We're told Chapman attended John's sell-out concert in Sin City last weekend and received a special invitation to hang out with him in his private dressing room after the show. The Dog and two members of his posse reportedly chilled and chatted in what was like a super-sized closet, and the controversial hunter was particularly intrigued by the hundreds of dolls of superstars decorating Elton's space." We are going to add a bit to this story since it's not entirely accurate. The attendees were not members of the posse but were actually Dog, Beth and their manager, Alan Nevins. Nevins said "Elton was extraordinarily gracious and invited the Chapmans backstage after the show and Dog was blown out of his seat by Elton's incredible performance. Elton was charming, funny and looked fantastic and they exchanged a few laughs. It was a great honor for the Chapmans to meet him and thanked him for taking the time."
