TMX Exposes Honolulu Saga with Tucker Chapman's Girlfriend, Monique

November 14, 2007

TMZ.com posted a Nov. 13 story, “Subject of Dog’s Tirade Allegedly Gave Alcohol to Minors”, in which its staff reports that Tucker Chapman’s girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, was ordered to leave a Honolulu nightclub on October 13 for allegedly purchasing drinks for customers under the legal drinking age of 21. Shinnery was the woman who Duane “Dog” Chapman expressed concerns about in conversation with his son Tucker – a private conversation that was a secretly recorded by Tucker and released to the National Inquirer for $15,000 after his father used the “N” word multiple times in reference to Monique.

Off duty Honolulu P.D. Detective Eli Walters, who works security for the Honolulu nightclub Lulu’s, tells TMZ that when he removed Shinnery and Chapman from the club, “Shinnery immediately began playing the race card – saying the only reason they were being kicked out was that they were an interracial couple.”

The Honolulu policeman (who may be used to interracial couples since he lives in Hawaii) says he had no idea who they were until Tucker returned to the club later that night to question why they were booted.

It was at that time, Walter says, that he gave Tucker his contact information in hopes that he might get an autographed copy of Dog’s best selling book. No, the policeman never got the book from Tucker but he did get his 15 minutes of fame on TMZ.

Another interesting note, TMZ reports that Monique is a teacher in a public school. She announced to the media late last week that she plans to sue Dog Chapman for defamation because he called her names during his private conversation with Tucker.

Of course no one would have known about the conversation if her boyfriend Tucker hadn’t sold it to the highest media bidder, so in reality she could sue Tucker too unless she also was involved in the selling of the tape.
